In this plein air "watercolour in the wild" class we will be surrounded by the beauty of Staunton Country Park, situated at the Stone Mansion terrace looking over the lake!

Set up on with paper, paints and brushes, using a viewfinder if you wish to isolate a section to concentrate on.

What you need: All materials needed to get you started are included, a board and paper. paints, brushes, pencil and viewfinder. Obviously whilst we are painting outside there won't be a kettle nearby, but I will be choosing locations that are near places you can grab a coffee, you can get refreshments from the Regency Tea Rooms.

We will meet at the top of the terrace, looking out over the lake. If you follow any of the paths down the country park you will come across the terrace.

Tutor: Chloe Philpott

Chloe is a freelance artist and tutor living in Portchester, Hampshire. She has a background in Graphite Pencil Portraits and Watercolour. She has a passion for creating atmosphere and emotion in her work. Chloe has been teaching various art classes at Portchester and Titchfield Community Centre in Fareham. Including Smaller Crafty sessions for the 3-8 age groups with Chloe's Crafty Kids which runs in school half terms.

Chloe really believes that all mediums in art have immense therapeutic and relaxing qualities, and should always be fun, enjoyable and supportive. The art community as a whole is a very tight-nit community which she has found since she started streaming live on Twitch in 2021. Chloe is all about enabling individuals to be creative without any judgement from others.

*all levels of artists are welcome, please be aware that even though we strive to complete the painting in one session this may not be the case for everyone, if this is the case then advice can be given after class via emails/facebook to help you complete the piece at home.
